PinPane Privacy Policy

PinPane is a Windows screenshot utility. This policy explains what information the app can access and how it is handled.

Information PinPane accesses

PinPane can capture screenshots of content shown on your screen when you choose to take a capture. Screenshots may contain personal information depending on what is visible on your device.

PinPane does not require an account and does not ask for your name, email address, location, contacts, or payment information.

How information is used

Screenshots are used only to provide PinPane's features, including previewing, copying, annotating, pinning, dragging, saving, and viewing recent captures.

PinPane does not upload screenshots or capture content to a server.

Storage

By default, PinPane does not automatically save screenshots and does not retain screenshot history files.

If you enable history, save a capture, drag a capture to another app, or copy a capture to the clipboard, the screenshot may be stored locally on your device or shared with the destination you choose.

History files, when enabled, are stored locally under your Windows user profile. You can remove saved captures or disable history from the app settings.

Sharing

PinPane does not sell, rent, or share your screenshots or personal information with third parties.

PinPane only shares screenshot content when you choose to copy, save, drag, export, or otherwise send a capture to another app or location.

Analytics and telemetry

PinPane does not include analytics, advertising trackers, or telemetry that sends screenshot content or usage data to the developer.

Security

PinPane is designed to keep screenshot processing local to your device. You are responsible for the apps, folders, cloud sync tools, or clipboard managers that you choose to use with captured images.

Children

PinPane is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated when PinPane's features change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are made.
